Hard Candy Cakes with Added Protein

Use this recipe for candy boards or candy cakes when a protein supplement is desired.


For 4% Protein Content (makes 10.5 lbs) For 8% Protein Content (makes 11.5 lbs)
7 lbs sugar 7 lbs sugar
1.5 lbs corn syrup (or honey or heavy syrup) 1.5 lbs corn syrup (or honey or heavy syrup)
1 lbs water 1 lbs water
1 lbs pollen substitute 2 lbs pollen substitute

Bring sugar, water, and corn syrup to a boil and stir until syrup reaches 265° F. Turn off heat and immediately add powdered pollen supplement using a whisk. Quickly pour the mixture into a candy board or other mold and allow it to cool.
